The Shuswap Veterinary Clinic has 2 full time farm animal veterinarians, and two full time mixed (both farm and companion animal) veterinarians to look after regular preventative care as well as any emergencies that might occur. Our emergency on call service is available 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year.

Food Animal Emergency Services
Farming is a 24 hour, 365 days per year occupation, and Shuswap Veterinary Clinic veterinarians are on call for any emergency situation that may arise. Some common emergency calls include:
- Dystocia – a difficult birth for a cow or heifer
- “Downer Cow” treatment
- Injuries and lacerations
Our large animal veterinarians are also experienced with small ruminants (sheep and goats and their relatives).
